Training tip / strengths of scents
Olfactory training helps the brain to recognize different smells again. The aim of the training is to help recovery based on neuroplasticity – the brain’s ability to reorganize itself to compensate for a change or injury. Training improves and accelerates the recovery of olfactory cells and the development of new ones.
In all smell training packages, the scents are carefully selected, based on the results of scientific studies. The scents are purposely of different strengths. In all training phases, the mildest scent is found in flowers. And again correspondingly stronger resinous scents.
When training with scents, arrange the scents from the mildest to the strongest in smell training. If you smell the strongest scent for you first, you won’t be able to smell the mildest scent as well as if you had started with the mildest.
Everyone’s sense of smell is unique in recognizing different scent strengths, and it is important to be aware that not all scents are equally strong.
